So many times, as the detective, was I referred to as "Columbo". For the first few years of The Killing Kompany, as the detective, I always wore a black raincoat as a salute to his character. And years ago, I had the honor of sharing a cab with him on a trip back from LA - we talked about our alma mater Syracuse University and how he didn't make it into the Actors Studio in the late 50's/early 60's.
