NEW SHOWS

On our Facebook page, we announced the dates of our new shows at The Knights Inn. Now, of course, we have new titles and themes and plots to create. Here's a sneak peak of our dates for our other new venue, The Holiday Inn in Fishkill. The price is also $65 per person for dinner and the show and for reservations call 845 896 6281. The dates for the shows: For 2009: December 18. For 2010: January 15 and February 12. All information will be up at our web site on the Schedule of Shows page in the next few days.

WHAT A TROUPER!

One of our actors for Saturday's show had a fire the other day in his apartment building and cannot get into his apartment. He and his family are OK, just a little stunned, but he can't get into his apartment for any clothes, etc. Yet, he'll still be there for Saturday's show. That's what they mean by "The Show Must Go On"

SCRIPT OUT TO CAST!

Yes, the first draft for our August 14 show is out to the cast and hopefully, there won't be too many changes - hint: it deals with a very popular reality show which has been in the news a lot recently.

A private event for the firm's Summer Interns, so we only had an audience of 10 but a great time by all. With small groups, you really get that one on one theatre effect!

LAST MINUTE CAST CHANGES

For today's show: one actor gets a network job so he picks a replacement for himself. A little extra work on my part but otherwise all OK. Also a cast change for August 14 show - that show has yet to be written but my proposed plot will need to be modified.

BOOK US EARLY!

Why?

1. Because our shows are custom created and you get the exclusive services of actor and writer Jon Avner - and he can only be at one show at a time.

2. We do not have an "A" cast, a "B" cast, etc. When you book a show with us, you hire the best cast available for that performance.

We just had to say no to a potential client because the date they wanted was all ready booked.

OUR CONTESTS

We have been holding contests for over ten years and for the past several years, the contests have been picking funny captions for pictures from movies starring Jon Avner. This year, the picture is from the film "Citizen Toxie".

OTHER INTERACTIVE SHOWS

On our Facebook page today, we posted an item about one of our other interactive shows "Dinner Court! With Judge Johnny" that we created in the mid to late 1990's. An item appeared on the web regarding a company in California which stated it just recently came up with the idea of doing it. We have only performed it for private events as we find that the nature of the show leads itself as a format appropriate for a corporate or fundraising group. It appears that in the NYC area, the Murder Mystery genre reigns supreme - even Tony N Tina's Wedding recently closed.
