A PROPOSAL FOR ANY DELIVERY/TAKEOUT RESTAURANT

Hi:

Hope all is well and we want to propose and/or offer this to you while and if you are still in delivery/takeout mode.

We’ve been doing online virtual shows (check out link at our website) and one restaurant tried it out in Las Vegas (albeit with another company). Here is how it’s done: we promote it for a Friday and/or Saturday, it’s a fixed dinner, and you add on a small fee and limit it to 30 people per show. When they pick-up the food, you insert a piece of paper which gives them the online link and their role as detective or suspect. So, when they get home, they hit the link and it’s a half hour show – again, the guests will be assigned in advance as detectives and suspects and there will be songs, music, evidence, etc. We will send out prizes to the winners. We can set up for each evening 4 shows, each different – 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, 9pm.

It will help not only us but keep your venue in the public eye and the costs can be minimal.

HOW TO HOST A VIRTUAL MURDER MYSTERY DINNER PARTY

Everyone is doing it now, a virtual dinner party. We'll work with you in setting up the details but basically....it will be done on Zoom

1. You and your guests will pick an easy recipe or have your dinner order delivered.

2. Forget the PJs and dress up all in style

3. Have your laptops/phones ready.

The show will last an hour. We will have scenes, play music for you and leave the Zoom room in between acts so you can all chat.

My name is Jon Avner. I am an actor and I am also the Artistic Director of The Killing 
Kompany Comedy Murder Mystery Dinner Shows based in the NYC area.

Since 1993, we have been performing comedy murder mystery shows everywhere; but since the corona virus, we haven't been performing anywhere. So there are a number of actors who are out of work. About 15 of us (and more may be added) have decided to do a virtual interactive murder mystery on Facebook where you can still be part of the show and be a detective and try to solve the murder. It's free, it will be fun, there will be songs, music, crimes and mystery, laughs...everything our regular shows have - but just no dinner. Each day there will be a new video scene and you can interrogate the victims, the suspects, each other and maybe even decide what happens next.

Please, if you can help us by making any donation: some of the actors are under a lot of pressure, like everyone else, so whatever you can.  These monies will be shared among the cast.

1. Some info on your group, what it does, recent events, amusing stories, “buzz words”, key phrases or slogans, etc. If there's a web site with all this information, give us the URL. And if the event is to celebrate a certain person, give us as much information on that person as you can.

2. First and last name of each guest suspect and a brief description:  married or single, residence, position and any amusing story about them that is known to just about all who attend and if you have their letterhead business cards and /or some pictures - that would be great!

PRESS RELEASE - COMEDY MYSTERY SHOW NOW ONLINE 

April 1, 2020. The Killing Kompany® is New York's leading mystery dinner theater group.  Since restaurants in the NY/NJ/CT are closed except for takeout and delivery, their shows are being rescheduled until the crisis is over. However, they are now providing their brand of entertainment with a free online murder mystery virtual event - where you can be part of the show. Audience members can ask the victims and suspects questions, try to solve the murder mystery and may even be online as a suspect themselves. Of course, prizes will be awarded.

The murder mystery is called “Murder at the Family Reunion”. Dr. Miranda Jenn is the TV host of “Family Therapy” where she tries to reunite families who have grown apart. Her guests include wealthy alcoholic Emily Thorne, the philandering bio-medical scientist Michael Whitacre, the wayward son Brendan Reynolds and the angry Gwen Pescow but her guests and Dr. Jenn herself are soon confronted with characters from their past, present and perhaps their future. Over 10 actors are performing in this event and more may be added.
