It is February 4 - there can sometimes be confusion as they have other events taking place that month but when you call to purchase tickets to the show, please specify it is for the murder mystery show as they have one or two other events taking place that month.

A MURDER MYSTERY GAME OR SHOW?

There are many websites, companies, etc. promoting games about how to throw your own murder mystery party. This would be a party where you and your guests put on the murder mystery event without hiring actors - also known as murder mystery games. I found an honest article about this and here is the link:

HOW TO PLAN A MURDER MYSTERY PARTY

There were at least two statements in the article that are important to note and the author was quite honest in mentioning them:

1. "It is very important that you make sure everyone you invite is able to make it. If someone doesn’t show up it can ruin the whole game."

2. "It’s important to invite people who are going to willingly participate and be enthusiastic. Even one person who is ‘too cool’ to join in properly can ruin the party for everyone."

My experience has been that you can not avoid those two situations - which is why The Killing Kompany does not recommend the "Murder Mystery Games". The only "Murder Mystery Game" I promote is when I custom create one for you and I act as your "Detective" to cover those inevitable situations, namely, when a guest doesn't show up or when a guest doesn't want to join in.

URGENT - NO NEWBURGH - GO TO MT. FUJI

You may remember that on December 23, 2010, I reported that due to a management change, The Killing Kompany will no longer be performing at The Knights Inn in Newburgh. Yesterday, a new manager for The Knights Inn advised me that, by mistake or otherwise, they continued to sell tickets for the cancelled January 15 show to about 50 people. THEY ALSO ADVISED ME THEY WILL GIVE REFUNDS AND WE URGE ANYONE WHO PURCHASED TICKETS TO OBTAIN THEIR REFUND FROM THE KNIGHTS INN IMMEDIATELY. We do have a show at The Views At Mt. Fuji in Hillburn (which is only 15-20 minutes from Newburgh) on January 22 and the flyer is in this post. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience and for those who have purchased tickets from The Knights Inn to the January show that was originally scheduled there. AT THE MOMENT, THERE ARE NO PLANS TO PERFORM FOR THE KNIGHTS INN IN NEWBURGH SO ANY SHOW THEY MAY HAVE WILL NOT BE BY THE KILLING KOMPANY. ADDING TO THE CAST

Actors, besides myself, are hired as independent contractors so with The Killing Kompany, the Client has the option to add additional actors (at, of course, their cost which is the actor's fee) up to a reasonable time before the show (The Killing Kompany does not make a profit off the actors' fee). For one of our private events this weekend, the Client has decided to add an additional actor and so with some last minute changes, it has been done. Many times the Client may ask for a specific actor or for an actor who can play a specific character.
