April 1, 2019. The Killing Kompany®, New York's leading mystery dinner theater group, announces that actors will be actually shot and murdered in their upcoming events.

"The competition is getting hard in this biz" said Artistic Director Jon Avner while he was shopping for bullets at Dick's Sporting Goods. "Audiences are quite demanding and it is our obligation to give them what they want in a comedy murder mystery". Actors dying on stage have been a long tradition in the theater world. For example, in 1820: Madame Delinsky, the female half of a magic act, was  shot and killed while performing the "bullet catch" trick before a large audience. Although it was rumored that one of the six gunmen mistakenly loaded his rifle with a live bullet, later it was revealed that Madame Delinsky was seeking a pay raise after complaining about the poor transportation to the performance venue.

Fortunately for Mr. Avner, New York is rich in the number of aspiring actors available for work. And most of them are starving artists so many casting directors agree that this may be an excellent way to "thin the herd" of actors' submissions for work and long lines at open calls. George Spelvin, one of the actors working with The Killing Kompany® stated: "I have no problem with this new creative turn of events. As an actor, I would always be willing to die for my art".
