OUCH!

We just got a bad review on Yelp for an event we just did and we hope we followed Yelp guidelines on a response. Ouch - it hurts.

I thought the show went great but this is true: we just cannot accommodate every request to add on actors or equipment at no cost. And the same goes with last minute requested changes in meal plan, table layout, audience size, etc.  These shows do require a lot of preparation on our part and once we arrive at a location to perform, very few changes can be made. In this case, I was able to do a re-write about a half hour before the event commenced and supplied all the add-ons requested, all at no charge, but I guess it was still not enough.

Oh yes, and when we arrive at a venue to perform, we are all in character - some characters are rude, some are killers, some are crazy, etc. This helps the show and it is disclosed to everyone as soon as they arrive with this notice: "Also, the actors are portraying characters involved in a murder mystery – please bear that in mind when you interact with them - there is adult content and adult situations although there is no obscenity or nudity. WE TRY OUR BEST BUT…there is humor, stage violence and other issues which may not be appropriate for all ages and/or tastes."

That's show biz. Everyone tried their best - 4 actors for over 150 people - and when as actors we knock our hearts out to put on a good show or just a good audition, and then...well you know the rest. Ouch - it hurts.
