APRIL FOOLS ANNOUNCEMENT

PRESS RELEASE - COMEDY MYSTERY DINNER SHOWS IN NY/NJ METROPOLITAN AREA WILL NOW KILL ACTORS

April 1, 2018. The Killing Kompany, New York's leading mystery dinner theater group, announces that it will actually kill the actors in their upcoming open to the public shows in the New York/New Jersey area.

According to a spokesman for the theater group, audience members have been asking for a "greater reality in our shows, and due to the large influx of actors in the NY community, we can give our audiences what they want and at the same time give the acting community what they need ...a thinning of the herd". In accordance with AEA stage rules, non-union actors will be killed first.

There are some members of the theater community who are outraged at this development. One actor, George Spelvin, stated: "Wait a minute. Have you lost your mind? What are you talking about? Kill the actors? You can't kill the actors. Actors are not animals, they're human beings." But according to The Killing Kompany spokesman: "this is audience participation dinner theater where the actors mingle and dine with the audience and, after a generation of audience members having dined with hundreds of different cast members, they have conclusively discovered that actors are, in fact, animals and not human beings."

Some theater critics agree with this new action. One critic, who asked to remain anonymous, stated: "I have seen so many bad shows where actors have literally died on stage. Now, we have a chance to see them actually die on stage. Of course, there are some good actors who, when performing, really killed it out there and the crowd loved it. But now it's time to let the crowd kill them."

Private shows are still custom written so that clients will not only be able to have the actors actually murdered but also some of their guests.
