July 1, 2020. The Killing Kompany®, New York's leading mystery dinner theater group, announces their next free interactive event “Murder Is In The Air” will begin today July 1. Because restaurants are still unable to provide theater entertainment, their live shows are rescheduled until the health crisis is over, but they have been providing their brand of entertainment with free online murder mystery virtual events - where you can still be part of the show and win prizes.
“Murder Is In The Air” is all done in 1940’s film noir style and in a different format than their last online show, “Murder at the Family Reunion” (now available on their YouTube channel). For this event, during the first act, the audience will meet the potential victims and suspects but then the audience will determine, by majority vote, which character is “killed”. After the audience selects the victim, The Killing Kompany® will create and perform all the scenes and evidence needed to find the killer. And the first person who can solve all the “who, what, where, why and how” of the murder wins $100 plus a variety of official Killing Kompany® gifts. The show will end on July 31 when the winner, and the killer, is revealed. It is being presented at the group’s Facebook Group site at www.facebook.com/groups/killingkompany and on YouTube.
During this pandemic, The Killing Kompany® is available to work with venues in delivery/takeout mode. When customers pick-up the food, you insert a piece of paper which gives them the online link and their role as detective or suspect. So, when they get home, they hit the link and it’s a half hour show – the guests will be assigned in advance as detectives and suspects and there will be songs, music, evidence, etc. Prizes to the winners are sent out by mail. And of course, they can perform a live event with a small cast for small parties, complying with all health directives.
