For more information, visit https://truonline.org/events/virtual-audition-2022/

WE ARE HAVING AUDITIONS ON JULY 1 VIA ZOOM

For more information, see our casting notice on Backstage: The Killing Kompany Casting Notice

THANK YOU TO ALL ACTORS/ACTRESSES ON MAY 20 AUDITIONS

Thanks to all who attended and we will be beginning to add some new cast members to our shows starting this June.

APRIL 9 AUDITIONS

We will be attending the Saturday April 9th Singing Auditions:10:30AM-6PM (you will be required to perform a monologue, too) and we will be one of over 40 producers, theater companies, writers and directors who will be sitting in on two days of auditions (Sunday is non-musical but we will not be attending).

So if there are any actors who follow us, interested in us or the auditions, note this email from TRU we received yesterday:

"We are offering a special discount in case you wanted to refer any actors you know that are interested in the Audition Event.

They will automatically be accepted.

Because we have passed "Early Bird Registration," the fee is $85 on the website for Non-TRU Members. With your referral, your actor referrals will get the TRU-Member price of $65.

When applying for the Audition Event, the actor will choose the "$65 TRU MEMBERSHIP" option when asked to choose a payment option. Although there is no place online to submit a discount code, the discount will still apply All they need to do is send an email to TRUSTAFF1@GMAIL.COM and mention you referred them to secure that they are being charged at the discounted rate.

If there is anyone in particular that may have financial hesitations, please let me know, we might be able to work out a "starving artist" discount."

FYI from The Killing Kompany: at least 5 actresses who work with us regularly, we found at these auditions.

CASTING SHOWS IS NOT EASY

As I put together our August productions.

A NETWORK CASTING NOTICE

Because our shows are interactive, many times we are asked to forward to our audiences casting notices for reality/documentary shows. Here's one from Esquire Networks we received last night:

"I'm casting the first season of an inspiring documentary series for Esquire Network called “Enter the Wild”, in which a diverse group of REAL people take an outdoor survival course taught by one of the country’s foremost survival instructors.

It’s NOT a competition show. It’s NOT 'Survivor'. The series will follow participants as they engage in a 3 week fully immersive course. We’re looking for participants who authentically want to be challenged, physically and emotionally, as they learn from an expert how to be wholly self-reliant in the wilderness.  Our hope is that everyone will walk away not only with life saving skills, but a new perspective on their lives and their relationship with nature.

Please help us get the word out. Perhaps you or someone you know might be a good fit!

Killing Kompany Backstage Casting Notice

CASTING AND WRITING

Casting November shows, writing next week shows - that's my Saturday night!

GETTING APRIL SHOWS READY

Hopefully by the end of today, I will be able to set the cast of additional actors for all of our April shows. There are 6 in April, three of which are public shows and 3 of which are private events.

CASTING

Many times I get requests, even phone calls, from actors who want to perform with The Killing Kompany. This is from our website:

"Interested in working with us? We are looking for professional actors only! If you are a professional actor, we are looking for all types and ages to cast in our shows. We are especially interested in those professional actors with singing, improv, stage combat, comedy and any other special skills as well as actors with special uniforms. Look for our casting notices in BACKSTAGE and other casting services. You may also email us with a link to a site which has your P&R, Video Reel and Voice Reel - BUT DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EMAIL IT AS OUR EMAIL SERVER CANNOT HANDLE LARGE ATTACHMENTS (And please no phone calls - we cannot return calls regarding casting). PLEASE ALSO NOTE: if you are currently working with another murder mystery company, please let them know that you are also submiting to us....it is OK that you work with other companies - you're actors - but some murder mystery companies get upset about this (we don't)."
